Thirty kilometres away — what an exposed site really measures

The nearest official weather station to our customer's biogas plant in Brandenburg is 30 km away. After a storm, the insurer assessed a six-figure claim against that station's record — which showed almost no wind — and did not pay. Now the plant measures for itself. We ran the mechanical 8-in-1 station and the ultrasonic S700 on the same mast and compared both, against each other and against the official record. Live data, one proof point, including the parts that did not work.
