Beyond LoRaWAN: Bringing Devices into the Web of Things

IoT systems span a broad range of physical connections, communication protocols, interaction models, and platforms, each serving different needs and constraints. Rather than avoiding this diversity, the real opportunity lies in building applications that can operate across it and turn it into scalable value. In this demo, we will show how you can make sure that your device works with multiple ecosystems and platforms as easily as possible. We will base our demo on the Web of Things (WoT) and pick Eclipse Zenoh as a concrete example of an ecosystem to integrate your devices to. After a short introduction to the fundamentals, we will move into a hands-on demo session. We are bringing 3 LoRaWAN devices from different manufacturers along with a Modbus energy meter from Siemens. You will see how one can start from the lowest byte level information and still use the same information in different levels of an IoT solution, passing through multiple proxies and gateways.
