SGP.32 is a standard. Making it work is a product.

Mikk Lemberg

The industry still treats SGP.32 as a new kind of SIM: buy a certified eUICC, load a profile, and call the fleet free.

But certification only proves the parts; it does not prove the product.

A device can fail to download a carrier from an external SM-DP+. It can enable the new carrier and still lose connectivity because the APN does not work. The carrier can move while the customer’s controls, data, and workflows remain trapped in the old platform. Every supplier can be compliant while the deployment still fails. That is why 1oT did not stop at reselling connectivity. We built 1oT Terminal, then our own eIM and SM-DP+. That work produced Europe’s first GSMA SAS-SM-certified SGP.32 eIM and now supports live customer deployments.

This talk is about the layers we learned we had to own and the questions buyers still skip.
