Ask a room of engineers how long it takes to get a connected product into the field, and the honest answer is usually years. Not because the idea was hard, and not because the prototype failed, but because everything between a working bench unit and a deployed fleet is a different kind of problem: RF and antenna design, FCC, CE, and PTCRB certification, carrier agreements in every region you sell into, secure provisioning, over the air updates, and the cloud infrastructure holding it together. None of it is your differentiator. All of it is on the critical path.

Then comes the constraint that shows up last and hurts most. The sensors work, but the site has no coverage, and a LoRaWAN network is only as reachable as its backhaul.

This session walks the real cost of assembling that stack yourself, then shows what changes when hardware, connectivity, and cloud arrive pre-integrated. It closes on the M-Series: Muon, the Raspberry Pi form factor carrier board that adds LoRaWAN and Ethernet to the M-SoM, and the M635E, the NTN satellite variant now shipping, with satellite coverage through Skylo, which keeps devices reporting from places no terrestrial network reaches. You will leave knowing where NTN fits alongside LoRaWAN, and how one firmware image carries a design from bench to fleet.
