From Ambient Energy to Actionable Data: Powering the Next Generation of Enterprise IoT

Ambient IoT is moving from vision to reality: a world where everyday objects can sense, communicate and generate data with minimal maintenance and without reliance on traditional batteries. But enabling this vision at enterprise scale requires more than a single energy technology.
This panel brings together Dracula Technologies, Energous and e-peas to explore how complementary approaches to energy harvesting and power management can enable reliable, autonomous sensing across real-world environments. Indoor photovoltaic energy harvesting, RF wireless power and intelligent energy management each address different operating conditions—and together can create more resilient solutions for Ambient IoT.
The discussion will focus on practical applications including logistics and package movement, cold-chain and environmental monitoring, and asset and inventory tracking. These use cases highlight a common challenge: connected devices may move through environments with changing light levels, varying distances from RF sources, and different power requirements. Combining complementary energy sources and intelligent power management can help overcome these constraints while reducing maintenance and enabling much larger deployments.
Beyond connectivity, Ambient IoT can become the physical data layer of the AI-enabled enterprise. Continuous streams of real-world data from products, assets and environments can feed AI and automation systems, enabling better visibility, prediction and decision-making. Without scalable sensing at the edge, AI remains limited by the availability and quality of physical-world data.
The panel will explore what it takes to move from isolated energy-harvesting technologies to integrated, commercially viable Ambient IoT ecosystems—and how these technologies can transform energy from a constraint into an enabler of actionable data.
