For a while, safety-critical applications looked like they would be one of the last bastions of proprietary software. However, the availability of Eclipse ThreadX, the first and only open source real-time operating system certified for safety-critical applications, shows that this era will soon be over.

To build IoT applications with Eclipse ThreadX, all you need apart from the RTOS itself are CMake, Ninja, and a suitable compiler. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity learn the structure of ThreadX applications and to discover some of its core APIs. You will also explore how companion components such as FileX, GUIX, NetX Duo, and USBX complement the core ThreadX kernel.
